When your kids are born exactly two years and eleven days apart, you can get away with one big combined birthday party (at least we have). We plan one big, joint party; at either at our house or a local park. No theme, no costumes, maybe a few games, but lots of food and fun.

So far, no complaints from my two kids. But, as they have gotten older, more and more of the invites to indoor play areas and bounce house have made their way into our home. Now, my son only has eyes for one thing.

Bounce house party.

Anytime. Anyplace. Any friend.

Now, after years of house parties extravaganzas, we're looking into hosting our first bounce party for his upcoming birthday. Generally, I like the idea - controlled location, the kids have a blast and burn lots of energy, and easy to plan. In our experience, the bounce house (and their staff) do a great job of running the party. The part I like best? You leave the clean up to them!

Jump Planet is conveniently located where I-5 and I-405 meet in Bothell. They also host open gyms if you would like to drop by, bounce and check the place out.

Pump It Up has three area locations: Tacoma, Lynnwood and Kirkland - so there has to be one near you! They have several party packages to choose from to fit your needs.

If you want to combine the convenience of a party at your home and the fun of a bounce house - consider renting an inflatable jumphouse from Seattle Bounce House. The professionals will come to your home, safely set up your chosen inflatable and return a few hours late to break it down.
